International Human Rights Day

10.12.2014

On December 10, 1948 the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was signed and two years later the date became the International day of human rights. On this day, in 1948 the UN General Assembly adopts the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in which for the first time in one place are described the rights whose carrier is any one person. The Declaration has been translated into 375 languages and dialects, making it the most translated document in the world.
The youth workers and the roma mediators marked the International Human Rights Day with a group of youngsters from school “Panayot Volov”, making them acquainted with the history regarding the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 30 human rights. The young people participated with great interest in the role play which they had prepared for them, in which game they were asked in their own way to describe some of the rights with drawings.
