Sarandev European Youth Pop-Rock Competition is one of the most authoritative and proven music forums in the country.

The competition is annual for individual performers of pop and rock music from the country and abroad aged from 11 to 30 years old.

ORGANIZERS: Dobrich Municipality and Youth Center Dobrich

Under the patronage of the Mayor of the Dobrich Municipality.

THE MOTTO OF THE COMPETITION IS: “No to the drugs, no to the fear, to protect nature, to save humanity!”

MISSION: To enable children and young people to present their achievements on the international stage.

PURPOSE:

– Providing stage performance to young talents;
– Support of talented performers;
– Intercultural exchange;
– Creating a friendly atmosphere for sharing good practices and creating new contacts between participants, teachers, parents and the jury.

The participant awarded the Grand Prix receives an author’s statuette, created especially for the competition by the sculptor Georgi Stefanov.

The international jury included specialists from Russia, Greece, Romania, Israel, Georgia and others.

April 29, 1988 – First national competition for author’s song – guests from Denmark, Czechoslovakia, the former USSR.

1989 – 1990 – Second and third national competition for author’s song for young singers of a funny song.

1991 – 1994 – Fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh competition for pop-rock performers.

1996 – Eighth national competition for pop-rock performers with international participation – April 26 and 27 – Chairman of the jury Vasil Naidenov. First prize – Galin Kulov – Dobrich.

1997 – Ninth national competition for pop-rock performers with international participation – June 6, 7 and 8 – Chairman of the jury Vasil Naidenov. First prize – Nelly Nenkova – Dobrich.
